A turn fighter is an aircraft with a slow speed turn advantage relative to the bandit aircraft's performance.

An energy fighter is an aircraft with a speed advantage and/or an acceleration advantage relative to the bandit's aircraft. You also get a substantial energy advantage from altitude over the bandit.

In a dogfight you manage both energy and angles regardless of your aircraft's performance advantage but you stress your advantage.

If you fight one bandit with similar aircraft performance you can favor either approach.

Emphasize energy management by building an altitude advantage or deplete energy to improve your position.
